Saint Demetrios Greek Language School of Upper Darby is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and organized Principal to lead our Greek Language School and help preserve and promote Greek language, culture, history, and heritage for future generations.
About the Role
The Principal serves as the educational and administrative leader of the school, fostering a positive learning environment while supporting students, teachers, parents, and the broader church community.
Responsibilities
Provide leadership and oversight for all Greek Language School operations.
Recruit, support, and evaluate teaching staff.
Develop and implement educational goals and curriculum objectives.
Coordinate class schedules, school activities, cultural programs, and special events.
Promote Greek language, history, literature, culture, and traditions.
Foster a collaborative and supportive environment where teachers and students can thrive.
Communicate effectively with parents, faculty, the School Board, and parish leadership.
Support student growth both academically and culturally.
Assist in planning school celebrations, performances, and community events.
Qualifications
Passion for Greek education, culture, and heritage.
Leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Experience in education, administration, or youth programs preferred.
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, families, and volunteers.
Greek language proficiency.
Commitment to inspiring and empowering students to excel academically and culturally.
